What to bring
Full hookups mean you need less than you might think, but a couple of these catch people out.
- A sewer hose with a donut or hard shell. Required here, with no exceptions, because it stops the hose pushing into the pipe and blocking the line. If yours has a bare end, buy the fitting before you come.
- A water pressure regulator and a decent hose. Standard advice anywhere, still true here.
- A surge protector. Cheap insurance on 50 amp anywhere in Texas.
- Leveling blocks. The rows were laid out around the oaks rather than through them, so some pads sit truer than others. Bring blocks.
- Camp chairs. Most evenings end up at the fire pit by the water.
- A fishing rod. You can fish the bank without a boat.
What you do not need
A generator. Every site has 20/30/50 amp power, and generator use is not permitted except in a genuine emergency.
Firewood for your site. Open fires are only allowed in the common fire pit by the shoreline. Propane fire pits at your own site need an office permit.
A kayak. Bring one if you like, but we keep kayaks guests can use.
A dump station stop on the way out. Every site is full hookup.

What are the office hours at Waterfront Hideaway Ranch?
The office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is closed Wednesday and Sunday. Check-in is contactless and the gate works around the clock, so you can arrive when the office is closed.
What time is check-in and check-out?
RV sites check in from 2:00 p.m. and check out by 12:00 p.m. Cabins check in at 4:00 p.m. and check out by 11:00 a.m. If you need a different time, call the office one or two business days before your reservation.
Can I arrive late at night?
Yes. Check-in at Waterfront Hideaway Ranch is contactless and the gate code works twenty-four hours a day, so a late arrival is not a problem. Quiet hours run 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., so keep the setup quiet if you roll in after ten.
Is the park gated?
Yes, Waterfront Hideaway Ranch is a gated park with code-controlled entry. It is why the private shoreline stays free of day-use traffic, and it works at any hour for guests.
Do you accept mail or packages?
No, the park does not provide mail service, and the park address cannot be used as a permanent address. Guests use the UPS Store at 11450 US-380 Ste 130 in Cross Roads, or the Amazon Locker at the 7-Eleven at 3000 FM 720 in Oak Point — both a couple of miles away.
Can I charge an electric vehicle at my site?
No. EV charging is not permitted at any RV site or cabin, with no exceptions — the pedestals are not built for it and violators may be fined at management’s discretion.
How old can my RV be?
Rigs older than ten years need approval before booking. Send a couple of current photos to the office and it is usually approved. All RVs must be in good operating condition — no window air conditioners, torn awnings, or visible rust or denting.
Is there a dump station?
You will not need one. Every RV site at Waterfront Hideaway Ranch is full hookup with water, sewer and 20/30/50 amp power at the pad. Septic hoses must have a foam donut or hard shell fitted.
