This is the website accessibility statement for Waterfront Hideaway Ranch. We are committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or captions. We treat website accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box that gets ticked once.

What this statement covers. This page is about the accessibility of this website. It is not a statement about the physical accessibility of the RV park, the cabins, or the grounds. If you have questions about getting around the property, please call the office on (972) 782-9722 and we will tell you honestly what the site is like so you can decide whether it will work for you.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the international standard for web accessibility. They define three levels of conformance: A, AA and AAA.

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” is the term WCAG itself uses, and it means what it sounds like: most of the site meets the Level AA criteria, but some parts do not yet, and we have not completed a full third-party audit. This website was rebuilt in 2026, and we are working through it page by page. Where we find something that falls short, we fix it.

Known areas we are still working on include third-party content we do not control — embedded maps, the online booking system, and the virtual tour — which may not meet Level AA in full. If any of those blocks you from something you need, contact us and we will give you the same information or complete the same task another way.

What We Have Built In

These are the website accessibility measures already in place across every page of this site, not aspirations:

• One h1 per page and a heading structure that runs in order, so a screen reader can move through a page by headings.
• Alternative text on every content image, written to describe what the photograph actually shows rather than repeating the file name.
• Every form field has a visible, associated label, and the enquiry forms can be completed without a mouse.
• The navigation, the booking bar and the on-page assistant are all reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline that is not removed by our styles.
• Text is set at a size and contrast intended to meet Level AA, and the layout reflows rather than breaking when text is enlarged or the window is narrow.
• Nothing on the site auto-plays sound, and no content flashes.
• Link text says where the link goes, so a list of links read out of context still makes sense.

How We Test

We check pages with automated accessibility tooling and by hand: keyboard-only navigation, visible focus, color contrast, image alternative text, form labels, heading structure, and behavior at small screen sizes and at increased text size.
